Houston, We Have a Blog!

Attention Winos!

Jane Doe here, coming to you live from Beckman Rd. where I am at the newest tasting room to come to Lodi: Cliché Wine Co. The sassy little sister of Peltier Winery, offering you the best deal on the best wine- by the full case, no less. The wines we provide to you are the bottles that will see you through from Monday night spaghetti to Saturday night prime rib. And as always, all estate grown and sustainably farmed.

But why Cliché? Well, basically… “it is what it is.” Haha!

No but seriously.

That’s what it started with! As a “tip of the hat” to those truisms and phrases that make us roll our eyes but at “the end of the day” still ring true for the most part.

See? They’re still so applicable.

Did you know that the word cliché was born from the French printing industry? Literally it means “to stereotype,” another press term, but the word itself came from the noise of a mold striking metal [source info here].

Have you ever heard a printing press? My uncle is a printer, and I grew up knowing the sound of a printing press very well and I gotta say… cliché does “ring a bell.”

Looks like the wine isn’t the only thing originating in France!

So, we’re “running with it” on our wine blog. Serving up delicious wine with a side of clichés, puns, sarcasm, and a whole lot of fun. Stop by and have some wine, puns, & fun yourself.
